Dietmar Londer is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with nearly three decades of experience in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design, construction management, and trenchless technology. As Principal Design Officer in Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters and Flood Resilience department, he is widely recognised for his expertise in the planning and delivery of complex underground infrastructure projects, including large diameter pipelines, microtunnelling, pipe jacking, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and network rehabilitation. Throughout his career, Dietmar has played key roles in some of New Zealand’s most significant water infrastructure projects, including the Central Interceptor and several combined network separation projects, St Marys Bay Water Quality Improvement Project, Artillery Drive Tunnel, and numerous Auckland stormwater resilience and flood recovery programmes. He was responsible for the design and implementation of one of New Zealand’s longest HDD gravity pipeline installations and has been a leading advocate for innovative trenchless solutions that minimise environmental impacts and construction disruption. Dietmar’s extensive practical experience, combined with a strong focus on innovation and constructability, has established him as a respected leader in the trenchless and water infrastructure sectors.
